Winter
In the well-known winter ski resort of Capracotta are available two different winter sport facilities. The first one, a run for alpine skiing, is just one kilometre from the village and from the Hotel Capracotta. The runs of Monte Civetta and Monte Capraro, with a chair lift and a ski lift, are particularly suitable for those people who want to learn how to ski, thanks to the professional instructors of the local skiing school. The Hotel offers to its guests the possibility to reach the run with its shuttle service (service fee).
The cross-country track is laid out in ring formation for a length of 15 km around the Prato Gentile plateaux (1580 mt.), which acts as its stadium. The track, one of the most well-equipped in Italy, was the host-place of very important Nordic ski competitions such as the Absolute Italian Championship (1997) and the Continental Cup (2004,2008).

Spring, summer, autumn
The renowned health resort of Capracotta and the whole area of Alto Molise are very well equipped for walking, riding and biking excursions.
Its territory is crossed both by numerous paths (marked by the Alpine Italian Centre (CAI), by the local “Comunità Montana” and by the local government of Capracotta) and by the “Transumanza” great cattle-tracks (very large tracks – they could even reach the width of 110 mt. – through which the flocks were driven from the pastures of Abruzzo to those of Puglia). They are green protected monuments that can be only seen and walked in this part of the country, where they didn’t disappeared.

Horse-riding
Not far from the hotel (15-20 minutes by car) is possible to reach two well-equipped riding grounds (Staffoli and Carovilli) where both long and short excursions are offered (riding lessons for kids and beginners are also organized).

Capracotta also offers, with its facilities, the possibility to play soccer, tennis and many other sports.
